Your project

SMART objectives are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound.

For example: 'To deliver a one-day community festival in the local park by December 2026, engaging at least 300 local residents and achieving a 90% positive satisfaction rating on post-event feedback surveys.' Or: 'To design and paint one large community mural on Main Street by February 2026, engaging at least 50 local residents in the design workshop phase and increasing positive local perception of the town centre area by 20% through feedback.'

Funding

£

Revenue funding covers day-to-day operational costs, services, and activities that do not create a permanent physical structure.

For example, paying sessional staff, workshop leaders or specialist facilitators; short-term event costs, marketing and community consultations; hiring short-term equipment; or running community-led group activities, training programmes or events.

£

Capital funding covers physical infrastructure.

For example, quick high street facelifts such as shop frontage improvements and shutter painting; upgrading play areas, outdoor gym equipment or sports MUGA pitches; public realm fixes such as footpath improvements, benches, bins or toilets; or planting urban trees, clearing accessible paths and tidying neglected community garden plots.
